Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are only available through ticketmaster.com or in person at the Uptown office, located on the 3rd floor at  3700 Broadway in Kansas City, Missouri. Our box office is credit card only. NO CASH ACCEPTED.

Tickets will also be available on show nights at the ticket window 30 minutes before the doors open.  Tickets can purchased at this window with either cash or credit card. 

Beware of secondary resale sites,  the venue can only guarantee the validity of tickets purchased directly from the venue box office or Ticketmaster.

How do I purchase accessible seating?

The entire orchestra level of the theater is accessible but reserved ADA seating can be accessed by turning on the the ADA filter on the Ticketmaster event page.  This filter will give you access to the seats in ROW M that can be removed to accommodate a wheelchair.

For general admission shows, the GA ticket will get you access to the ADA area located in the left orchestra near the stage.

Due to the historic nature of the theater our balcony is only accessible by stairs.

If you find yourself needing accommodations while at an event, please speak to an usher or venue personnel for assistance.

Are tickets transferable?

Not every show has the ability to have transferrable tickets. If tickets can be transferred, it can be done on the Ticketmaster app or online at Ticketmaster.com

How do I pick up my will call tickets?

Will Call tickets can be picked up at our box office which is located in front of the venue at 3700 Broadway. The box office will be open 30 mins before each show.

I bought my tickets from a resale site, should I be concerned?

Maybe. Tickets purchased through secondary sites, such as scalpers, may or may not be legitimate. The Uptown Theater is not responsible for tickets that were not purchased through the Ticketmaster system or at our box office. The Uptown Theater cannot resolve any ticketing issues involving secondary sites, such as lost or invalid tickets. 

My tickets were lost, stolen, or destroyed. What can I do?

Call our box office for a complete explanation of ticket replacement policies. If we have a record of your purchase and can verify your identity as the original purchaser, we may be able to reprint your tickets once the original tickets are voided.  If you purchased through Ticketmaster, please call their customer service line.

We do not offer any warranty or guarantee pertaining to lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.

What happens if my event is canceled or postponed?

Tickets purchased directly through Ticketmaster will typically be refunded 30 days after the announcement of the cancellation.  If a show postpones then you will have to request a refund through Ticketmaster.

If you purchased in-person at our box office and a show is canceled or postponed, you will have to bring your tickets back into our office in order to be refunded.

Where are the door times and show times listed?

Door times are posted on our main page. Show times are posted on each event page. Show times are subject to change. Please note that due to our security procedures, it does take some time to enter the building. Please arrive early enough to enter the facility without missing any part of your favorite band. 

Where can I park?

The Uptown Theater offers free parking in four different places all located directly across from the theater complex.

1. The Uptown Shoppes outside parking lot located  directly north of the theater complex (3600 Broadway).

2. The parking garage located underneath the west wing of the Uptown Shoppes complex. (3600 Broadway).

3. Limited parking is available in the T-Mobile parking lot (3625 Broadway).
A parking attendant will provide you with a temporary parking pass if there is space available.

Just take the crosswalk across Valentine Road or Broadway Boulevard and you’re at the theater doors.

What items may I not bring with me to the concert?

The following items are prohibited inside the venue:

·         Outside food or drinks
·         Weapons of any type, including concealed firearms
·         Professional camera equipment or recording devices
·         iPads, tablets, selfie sticks, Go Pro cameras
·         Flashlights, glow sticks, laser pointers, hula hoops, flow toys
·         Large bags or backpacks. Purses/bags no bigger than 11 x 8 1/2 inches
·         Signs, banners, flags, etc.

The Uptown reserves the right to search anyone, and their belongings, who enter the premises.

VIP Packages

VIP Package Disclaimer: Uptown Theater does not sell, handle or facilitate any VIP programs for artists. Information provided at the time of purchase (name, address, e-mail, etc.) is the same information that will be utilized for VIP fulfilment by Artist’s VIP agency. Emails containing details about VIP details and procedures are almost always sent out 1 or 2 days before the event. All preshow VIP programs and times, Priority Check-In and Early Entry may vary and are subject to modification by the tour at any time for any reason. Please check for updated information from your point of purchase. Any Commemorative VIP laminates are for commemorative purposes only. The VIP laminate does not gain or authorize access into the venue, VIP or any backstage areas. Uptown Theater is not responsible for outdated or inaccurate information provided to the consumer at the time of purchase and cannot assist with VIP package information, as it is rarely provided to us in advance.

What time does the first act go on?

The showtime is printed on your ticket and this is the time that the first act goes on stage. Times of the show and individual acts are subject to change.

How is General Admission seating handled?

Strictly on a first-come first-served basis.

There is open standing room near the stage as well as fixed seats at the back of the theater and in the balcony.

You may notice that your GA ticket has numbers appearing in the “row” and “seating” lines on the ticket. These numbers do not represent a specific seat, as they are used for Ticketmaster’s tracking purposes only.

If a GA ticket is for standing room only that will be clearly marked on Ticketmaster.

Is there reentry?

No. Reentry is not allowed once you have entered the venue for a show.

Do I need an ID to enter the venue?

A valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID is required for anyone planning to purchase and/or drink alcohol at the venue. Anyone without proper ID, regardless of age, will not be permitted to buy, hold, or drink alcohol. If the security staff are presented with a fake ID, the patron will not be allowed to enter the venue and a refund will not be given. Shows that are listed as 16+, 18+ or 21+ require a valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID to enter the venue. Minors cannot attend an 16+, 18+ or 21+ show even with their legal guardian.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes. Our lost and found is located at the venue box office. If you have lost an item during a show, please email  boxoffice@uptowntheater.com  The Uptown Theater is not responsible for lost items, but we will do our best to reunite lost items with fans

What concessions options do I have?

We have a full bar that serves soda, juice, water, liquor, wine and beer. All bars take credit cards and cash.  Sometimes additional satellite bars are available and  set up around the theater, offering beverage options such as beer and water bottles.

We do not offer food for concerts.

What is your policy on Service Animals?

No “Comfort Animals”, only “Service Animals”

Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

How can I get a backstage pass or meet the band?

Backstage Passes are not available for purchase from the venue.
If an artist has a meet and greet option it will be available online through their website and is facilitated by a separate company.

Where can I smoke in the Uptown?

The Uptown is a completely non-smoking venue, including the use of vapor and electronic cigarettes. There is a smoking exit located south of the main bar inside the theater.

What is your camping and wristband policy?

We do not provide overnight security for camping.

We do not provide or have a wristband system for ordered entry.

What is your camera policy?

The Uptown Theater does not permit cameras with detachable lenses, video, or audio recording. Additional regulations may exist for individual shows per the artist request. However, everything is at the discretion of the security team and they may have you take it back to your vehicle.

Do you have coat check?

No, we do not have coat check available for concerts.

Do you have an ATM?

We do have an ATM located in the Encore bar, just off the main entrance to the theater. Our bars allow the use of credit card purchases for beverages, but it’s always a good idea to come prepared with cash for artist merchandise or other vendors who may not always accept card options.

What hotels and restaurants do you recommend near the theater?
