The untold story of one of the most influential cities in the history of music, Kansas City, is screened in the historic main theater at Uptown Theater.  Join the afterparty in the Encore, adjacent to the main theater, directly following the movie. Local artists include Flare Tha Rebel and UBI (from CES CRU) with a special acoustic performance by The Greeting Committee. Tickets for the Q&A and the movie screening are $15 while VIP tickets to the Q&A, movie screening, and the afterparty are $50.

 

The screening of Sounds of the City begins at 7:00pm and the Q&A starts at 6:30 with local musicians Heidi Phillips of Frogpond,  Jeremy McConnell founder of Flavorpak,  Chuck Haddix musical historian, UBI of CES CRU, and Tom Shipley of Brewer and Shipley. Doors for the event open at 6:00pm with an afterparty beginning at 9:30pm following. Those who purchase a VIP ticket will gain access to the Q&A, the screening, and the afterparty.
